This Spring I walked Maddie down the aisle to marry Bob on
March 1st at the Church of the Holy Apostles by the Rev, Steve Snider who "came
out of retirement" to co-perform the ceremony and it was beautiful and a
really complete ceremony!! The reception was at the Villlanova Conference Center!!
It
was a real lovely wedding and reception!! Both Maddie and Bob seem happy they
are "fitting" nicely into their house in Upper Darby and it seems to
fit their lives well at present. I was real pleased to welcome Maddie
to the family!!
I was pleased to fly to California to celebrate Rex and Carol's 50th Wedding
Anniversary!! That is a real milestone; I did not realize it had been that long
but I finally realized they lived in Columbus while I was at Ohio State and I
visited
them there.
I am still upset over the loss of Greta although Chelle is working on a replacemement
for her - maybe larger....! I am worried about having a larger dog in my apartment,
but I am willing to give things a try. It is raining today so I do
not know what the Celebrations will be although this Philadelphia and I am sure
there will be something - maybe inside.
The Phillies are actually in first place by 2 Games!! And the stadium is great
as are my Seats 22 rows off the field on the outside of Third Base!! I see everything
including the bullpins!! Chelle, Rick and the children are doing well and seem
to have their lives covered!!
Happy Independence Day to Everyone!! It is a real joy to be an American. I just
am thrilled at having restored the place where Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration,
and as well as where Benjamin Franklin had assisted and also wrote it having
been on the Committee - and I got a Parchment Copy of that!!

Greta, my lovable Dog, was bitten by a Tick and developed Lyme Disease. The Vet
- Ardmore Animal Hospital - said the was nothing that could be done for her.
I got to hold
her while they put her “asleep” on January 24, 2008. And I was given
her Ashes in a Wooden Box with her name engraved on a metal tag. I cannot believe
she is gone as she was a Great Companion and seemed to like her walks. I miss
her walks and playfulness and it is really hard to get rid
of her just yet!!
Eventually I think I would like another pet though I am not ready yet.
The Biggest Event coming up is Bob and Maddie’s Wedding March 1st!! I am
going to walk her down the Aisle!! And the Reverend Steve Snider is going to
marry them at Holy Apostles even though he's at a different church now!! I will
be happy to welcome Maddie into the Family.
I went to Seattle with all of the family to Emmy Lou’s Wedding in September.
It was a great trip including going to a preseason Ohio State Football Game.
It was good to be sharing that experience with Rex and Charles.
It was a Great Xmas and sharing the Holiday with a “growing” family!!
The Grandkids are growing and Preslee is turning into a nice young Lady.
